SYTOX 绿色死细胞核酸染料( Ex/Em: 502/525 nm, bound to DNA)是一种可轻易穿过受损细胞质膜而不能透过活细胞质膜的绿色核酸染料，其在于核酸结合之后荧光强度会得到超过 500 倍的显著增强。SYTOX 绿色死细胞核酸染料可以用于染死的真核细胞的 RNA 和 DNA，在革兰氏细菌中同样也适用。使用者可以利用氩激光激发器的 488nm（或者其他任何带有 450-490nm 激发光源的激发器） 激发染料。
SYTOX 绿色死细胞核酸染料可用于多色荧光分析，在不同的实验应用中染固定细胞的核酸，如，荧光显微镜、荧光酶标仪，流式细胞仪上。
